Agile Estimator™ User Guide
1. Where are we starting from with this project? What development stage are you in?
Is this an idea only? (Greenfield) Is this an existing app that you want to add more features to? (Modernize) Or perhaps this is an existing app, but it’s out of date and you want to update it so that it grows with your business. (Extend)
2. Do you have a finished user interface design?
User interface (UI) refers to the screens, buttons, toggles, icons, and other visual elements that you interact with when using a website, app, or other electronic device. User experience (UX) refers to the entire interaction you have with a product, including how you feel about it.
If you’re just beginning to explore an application idea or have no idea what we’re talking about, select “No.” But if you’re already working with a web designer, you should select “Yes” or “Partially”.
3. How Robust do you expect the finished application to be?
Are you looking for just enough features to be usable by early customers who can then provide feedback for future iterations? (MVP) Are you looking for a more enhanced version where the end product is engaging and scalable? (Feature Rich) Or are you in need of a large, complex application for a large business or organization? (Enterprise)
4. Do you need HIPAA compliance or bank-level encryption?
If you work in an industry where privacy and data security have extreme legal protection—such as healthcare or banking—your project will involve more work. By selecting yes or no with this question, we’ll give you a better insight into the work involved.
5. Where do you want users to interact with this application?
What devices would you like your application to run on? Select all that apply.
6. Do you need any backend services designed or developed?
We just want to understand if you already have a backend application programming interface (API), which is a software intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other. We’re also looking to see if you plan to extend an existing architecture—which refers to the fundamental structures of your software system.
7. Do you have existing data in databases or other systems we need to integrate with?
Do you have one database, multiple, or none? If you’re not sure, click “I don’t know”.
8. Do you need payment processing or recurring subscriptions?
Will you be accepting payment within your application, if so how?
9. How will users register or sign in?
How will users access your application? Select all that apply.
10. Do you need reports or dashboards developed from the data?
Will you need the ability to report on your data that we store in the database?
11. Will you need help managing your application after it’s completed?
Do you need a technical team to support your application once it’s finished?
