Justin Wolgamott is a Traverse City area native and resident, and the newest member of the Augusto team.
As the technical lead, he’s responsible for ensuring the clients vision is translated to digital products that provide value quickly within any budget. Justin loves working with SaaS products that incorporate cloud architecture and sound data systems.
Justin’s earliest exposure to technology was helping to build his high school’s website in the early days of the internet. This initial exposure led Justin to study software development and information security at Northwestern Michigan College and Ferris State University followed by nearly a decade of software development experience in health-tech and financial services.
In August of 2018, Justin joined Augusto as a technical lead in the development of the OrbitalRX pharmacy automation solution. Augusto’s product focused approach to software development was a natural fit for Justin and has since led to numerous engagements with organizations seeking to bring industry disrupting digital products to market. In 2019, Justin joined Augusto on a full-time basis.
An ongoing focus and investment in tech around Traverse City caught Augusto’s attention. One example, is TCNewTech, a pitch meetup for those in tech to share ideas and business ventures. Augusto has presented at and sponsored the program.
Another example is Detroit-native Casey Cowell, founder of U.S. Robotics Inc., who has invested $6 million in four growing tech companies in Traverse City due to his love for the area.
Cowell also helped found 20Fathoms, a tech incubator that supports the development of new business ideas by providing mentorship, business services, and funding connections to young tech companies. 20Fathoms is the perfect location for Justin to have a home base for his Augusto work.
Augusto is excited to be a part of the Northern Michigan tech and digital product community and looking forward to many future relationships with the incredible entrepreneurs, businesses, and talented folks that call Northern Michigan home.
